While wandering around the back roads of Arizona, we happened upon a little store and a pleasant surprise.  We discovered a treasure trove of archive images from the collections of the Department of Interior, from the estate of Mary Jane Coulter, and others.  

Mary Elizabeth Jane Coulter was an architect who designed many of the great landmark buildings at the Grand Canyon, including Hopi House and Phantom Ranch at the canyon bottom.

We think you will enjoy these.  In addition to the image, we've provided you with the notes that were written on the back side of each.

These are very rare images that have been incorporated into the River Trading Post collection.
