Michael Zeller is what
I would call an artist, a master at capturing images.
Sometimes you can find Mike with a stick of charcoal or
pastels, or watercolors or oil or his camera. Mike has
a unique sensitivity to capturing an image in his mind
and transmitting it through his fingers on to paper,
canvas or film.
That sensitivity
extends to his hands working with Native People in North
America and South America constructing or reconstructing
buildings, missions and homes that have been overcome by
either time or stormy weather. The gallery that Mike
Zeller shows here consists of his images of places and
people that he especially remembers while helping to
reconstruct a mission church near Shiprock.
